Marni Sorin
Hi, I’m glad you’re here. I am excited to share my passion for learning and growing with you. I believe that growing food and caring for a garden is one of the best ways to connect with ourselves, the natural world, and each other. Learn more about me and my approach:
Holistic perspective.
I strive to look at the garden holistically, with a focus on biodiversity, organic practices, and respect for all life. I believe that gardening is all about context. This means developing a deep understanding of the place where you are growing, as well as setting up systems and practices that will work for you.
Experienced guide.
For the last 15 years, I have worked as a gardener, a vegetable farmer, and an educator. My knowledge and expertise is in growing edible annual and perennial plants, as well as native plants for ecological restoration and environmental stewardship.
Creative solutions.
I am passionate about growing healthy, organic food and habitat plants in creative and intentional ways. I believe there are many “right” ways to garden – and that the best way to learn is through experience. I love exploring ideas and possibilities that help to make gardening accessible and fun.
Thoughtful stewardship.
I am grateful to be living, working, and growing on the contemporary and ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples. I am committed to honoring these communities past & present, by being a thoughtful steward, neighbor, and guest on these lands.

My approach is to lead with curiosity. I’d love to get to know you, hear about your goals, and learn what questions you have. Through the process of connecting with each other, I hope to support you in building a stronger relationship with your garden and the communities in & around it.

One of the things that I love most about gardening is that there are endless things to learn and discover. Wherever you are in your growing journey, I am confident that together we can find solutions and practices that will help to bring more ease, abundance, and joy to your growing adventures!
